The odometer sensor detects the speed of the electronically controlled vehicle, and the control computer uses this input signal to control the engine idling, the torque converter locking of the automatic transmission, the automatic transmission shifting and the opening and closing of the engine cooling fan and other functions such as cruise control. The output signal of the odometer sensor can be a magneto-electric AC signal, a Hall digital signal or a photoelectric digital signal. The odometer sensor signal line is usually installed in a shielded jacket, which is designed to eliminate the high voltage power lines and car phone or other electronic equipment generated by electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, used to ensure that electronic communication does not produce interruptions, to prevent the cause of driving performance deterioration or other problems.
